Welcome
Welcome to Riverton Aquanauts
Please keep in mind that Riverton Aquanauts is our swimming club's name while Riverton Leisureplex is the name of the City of Canning's aquatic centre.
Understanding the squad training process or the competitive organisation may be a bit challenging for newcomers in the swimming world. So we though we might help you here by explaining who does what and give you a few tips about your training and competition participation.
Riverton Leisureplex and Riverton Aquanauts are two separate entities who care each about different aspects of your swimming practice.
Riverton Leisureplex provides training programs for any competitive or recreational swimmer. Riverton Leisureplex employs swimming coaches for this purpose, set-up a timetable of training sessions and decides on the monthly or term based squad fee.
Riverton Aquanauts is an independent swimming club run by volunteers in the purpose of allowing children to compete at carnivals and championships sanctioned by Swimming WA. There is one annual membership fee and additional nomination fees to be paid every time a swimmer wishes to compete at an official carnival.
